At least once a month I’ll go live in the group to share:

E.g. for the first month of the membership (November) I will be travelling in Mexico for 2 weeks with my partner celebrating my landmark birthday against the backdrop of Mexican Day of the Dead, and then hanging out for a further 2 weeks working as a digital nomad in Mexico City. Hi! I'm John
I've spent the last 20 years helping people turn their ideas into businesses, books and brands that stand out - following my early career in innovation, creating software for Disney, BBC, Deloitte, and Accenture.
I was a Senior Managing Consultant at Deloitte before quitting and declaring I never wanted another job for the rest of my life.
Free of the 9-5, I performed stand-up comedy, wrote for the Guardian, freelanced on cutting edge music technology projects, and trained in psychotherapy & coaching.
I launched a live event called Scanners Night for people with too many interests and ideas which was covered by the Daily Mail & Red magazine and I won my first book deal with Pearson.
I am now author of 3 bestselling books translated into 10 languages including WHSmith business book of the month F**k Work Let’s Play: Do what you love & get paid for it.

FAQs
Is this a subscription?
Yes, this is a monthly subscription but the great thing about The Ideas Lab is that there is no minimum term. Stay for one month, stay for many months; it's up to you. You are not tied in and you can cancel at anytime.
What if I can't make sessions live?
Absolutely everything is recorded and made available either in the Facebook group or in your members area for you to watch back. The sessions vary in times and some are in the evening to help make sure you get to attend a good proportion of them live if you want to.
Do I need to have a business or a good idea already?
No! In fact, The Ideas Lab is designed to be the perfect place to get inspired to find ideas, test them out, and get them off the ground.
Is this a course?
The Ideas Lab is a membership. You'll get access to some great resources straight away but there isn't a big library of hours of content you need to fight your way through. Instead, you get inspiration, ideas, and a chance to ask me about your ideas each month.
Plus, each month has a themed mini-course - how to launch a substack newsletter or how to write a bestselling non-fiction book, how to use AI to launch & monetise your ideas quickly and others. Each mini-course are 3 compact sessions of just 30 minutes or so each so they're easy to absorb.
Where is the online community?
The Ideas Lab community is run in a private Facebook group. We have found that Facebook groups are best at keeping members engaged in a community like this.
The mini-courses and other resources in our library are in our own private platform which you'll be given access to as soon as you join.
What's the difference between The Ideas Lab and Crazy Successful Formula?
The Ideas Lab is the ideal place to play with ideas before committing to something more in-depth like the Crazy Successful Formula (CSF) which is my 6-month flagship programme to create a client-based business that stands out.
Crazy Successful Formula is solely focussed on client-based businesses like consulting, coaching, therapy, freelancing. The Ideas Lab is much broader in focus. Come and work on non-fiction book ideas, apps, Substack newsletters, podcasts – anything you can think of in fact!
