The Ideas Lab London is looking for a Digital Marketing & Business Assistant to work closely with the founder who is an author of an international bestselling book translated into 10 languages. The Ideas Lab runs innovative programmes with up to 300 participants around the world at a time and this year the company has ambitious plans to expand. The organisation’s work has been quoted in The Sunday Times, The Times, The Daily Mail, The Financial Times, Marketing Week, and BBC Radio among others.
This role is pivotal to the business so you must be a self-starter, have natural time management skills and be prepared to deal with the day-to-day mundane tasks as well as take the lead on some big initiatives.
Essential / Required Skills
- Extensive experience using online apps and systems (such as Customer Databases, Content Management System, WordPress, Webinar software, Survey tools, Google docs)
- Excellent written English for newsletter writing and blogging
- Experience with a CRM system, managing the data and sending emails
- Excellent customer service and communication skills - phone & email
- Be confident with Excel
- Executing Social Media Marketing
- Reporting on Email Open Rates and Google Analytics
- An inquisitive mind and ability to research certain topics for a blog articles or similar
- Researching, liaising and negotiating with potential venues, partners and affiliates
- Comfortable picking up the phone and talking with National Magazines and Press
- Reaching out to potential partners and bloggers
Desirable Skills
- Working knowledge and exposure to: WordPress, Infusion Soft CRM Tool,, Survey Monkey, Webinar tools, a Mac user, Basic image/video editing
- PA experience

- GCSE/CSE in English and Maths

How we work…
You will be part of a very small, flexible, informal, yet professional team. You will also have a large amount of autonomy in your role so long as you 'get the work done’. You will be able to work from home some of the time with your presence required in the office (on the 16th floor with some stunning views) in Shoreditch (London) 1-2 times per week (half days). You will need to use your own laptop/macbook.
