How to get control of your own thoughts with Daniel Fryer, author The Four Thoughts That F*ck You Up

If, like me, your starting to discover that your own worst enemy is actually inside your head, then this episode is for you.

Daniel Fryer is author of the book The 4 thoughts that F*ck you up and how to fix them: Rewire how you think in 6 weeks with REBT.

Daniel is a psychotherapist who’s been helping people change the way they think for over 15 years.

I was keen to ask Daniel about how we get a grip on our internal dialogue and the things we think about ourselves, other people, and the situations we’re in.

It seems like no better time to tackle this topic than right now, as we are starting to get very concerned about the coronavirus pandemic.

Daniel’s Bio

I have over 15 years experience in helping people deal with life blocks and emotional problems such as anxiety disorders, work-related stress, anger-management, self-esteem and confidence issues, chronic pain conditions and more.

I work in private practice and for the Priory Hospital Bristol. I also ran successful clinics in London for more than ten years, was hired as a specialist by the Royal Brompton Hospital (where I treated a pain condition called Cardiac Syndrome X) and as a consultant by the occupational health division of Medicentre (part of HCA Healthcare), where I helped people deal with their work-related stress and drug and alcohol problems.

I hold a BA (Hons) in journalism and sociology and an MSc in rational-emotive and cognitive behaviour therapy. I also hold a diploma in clinical hypnotherapy and another (with distinction) in cognitive behavioural hypnotherapy.

As a former journalist, I know a thing or two about stress, pressure and difficult deadlines. I write books and features and present regularly on mental health and wellbeing topics. I’ve lectured on college courses, delivered workshops and spoken at public and private events for The Lecture Club, Raising The Bar and for the Time to Change mental health campaign.
